Lite Fast 2020 is a one-component UV screen print encapsulant that, when followed by a snap heat cure, will transform the liquid resin into a UV cured high temperature encapsulant.
The encapsulant is designed as a protective UV coating for electronic components, i.e., resistors, capacitors, fuses, conductive traces, etc. After screen printing, the pigmented UV encapsulant is exposed to UV light for 10 seconds. The UV coating is then exposed to a snap heat cure as described in the specifications.
After cure, this UV encapsulant will withstand high humidities at high temperatures and does not effect the substrate onto which it is protecting. Its shrinkage is less than 1%. An additional factor is the UV coating’s high temperature performance at 175° C.
