LITE FAST™ 2085

Lite Fast 2085 is a UV primary (buffer) encapsulant used for coating cable and optical fibers.  The buffer encapsulant cures within seconds after application of UV light.  Rapid cure time allows for faster and more reliable automated production.  This UV primary coating is completely flexible, exhibits low shrinkage, no outgassing and small surface adhesion (easily stripped from metal and glass surfaces).

Lite Fast 2085 is utilized in the manufacture of cable and optical fibers. Application of the UV encapsulant is performed by dispensing.

For optical fiber or cable application, the UV encapsulant is dispensed into a holding cavity thereby coating the fiber when it is drawn through the cavity’s orifice.  Lite Fast 2085 is cured with UV light within a few seconds.  The lamp has a peak wavelength intensity at 365nm.

With its flexibility and slip properties, Lite Fast 2085 may be stripped off the substrate for subsequent work on the metal or optical cable.
