LITE FAST™ 3020

Lite Fast 3020 is a UV conformal coating that was designed to be both UV cured and thermally cured.  The UV cure occurs in 10 seconds.  This is then followed by a snap thermal cure for 25 minutes at 125°C or 5 minutes at 150°C.

Lite Fast 3020 UV conformal coating can be fully cured in conveyorized infrared equipment.  Cure efficiency will depend on power availability, number of heat zones, unit size and air circulation.  The UV snap cure of 5-10 seconds cures 95% of the polymer.  Bulk cure follows the UV cure necessary to maximize the UV conformal coating’s tensile strength, flexural strength, heat resistance, glass transition temperature and compressive modulus. 

With minor adjustment to the UV conformal coating, Lite Fast 3020 can have a viscosity ranging from 20,000 cps to 60,000 cps.  This UV conformal coating’s CTE can be adjusted as well with small amounts of filler to give a CTE from 64 ppm to 14 ppm matching many of the metals used in electronic components.

With an exceptional glass transition temperature of 150°C, this UV conformal coating has excellent heat resistance of 175°C and high temperature humidity stability.
