Lite Fast A-1001 is an optically clear autoclavable UV medical adhesive that cures within seconds when exposed to ultraviolet light and after a snap heat cure.  This process renders the UV adhesive its autoclave properties.  This UV medical adhesive is user friendly holding the parts in place while undergoing the thermal bump.  UV cure time is regulated at the hand of the end user by varying the intensity of the UV curing source and adjusting the heat bump to the thermal conductivity of the parts

Lite Fast A-1001 UV medical adhesive was designed as a low outgassing (CVCM) and low Total Mass Loss (TML) UV adhesive.  Ideal applications for this UV adhesive are for coating parts destined for delicate medical equipment, space exploration and bonding of high tech computer components.

This UV medical adhesive is cured by UV light within the 250nm–400nm range with a maximum sensitivity at 365nm.  Also, the UV medical adhesive has a low oxygen inhibition that allows the UV adhesive to cure tack free when exposed to air with sufficient exposure to UV light.

Curing this UV adhesive can be performed in two steps; a short pre-cure to assure proper alignment of the parts, followed by a bulk heat cure at 125°C for 30 minutes.  The pre-cure allows the user to align and set precision parts quickly without long holding times and minimizes the total number of fixtures.

Lite Fast A-1001 can withstand temperatures of –40°C to 150°C without discoloration.
